Customer Reviews

This toy simply does not work. It appears as though you should be able to put the string on your finger, throw it downward, watch it catch a Pokemon figure and have it pop back up like a yo-yo. The string does not retract even after many attempts. My daughter and I abandoned the string and just held the ball, lowering it onto the Pokemon figures. It would "catch" a Pokemon figure but usually leave it sticking halfway out of the ball.
The design is awful; the quality is poor and, even without using the string, it is awkward for a child to use. You have to open the trap door on the bottom of the ball manually to set it up to "catch" a Pokemon, which takes more time and dexterity than a child of under ten has to offer.
Our expectations of toys are low these days but this was especially disappointing. Design and quality were lower than most of the disposable knick-knacks that my kids pick up at the Dollar Store. Please save your money and stick with the cards or figurines.

i ordered this for my son, who is having a ball with this toy. It is a very durable product, and my son is enjoying it very much. according to him, a must have for every pokemon collector!
